Create email addresses and use with Microsoft Outlook

A domain name will not automatically act as an email service until you configure it do do so. First before you begin you will need to create the email mailboxs in Back Office. e.g sales@yourname.com (you can create as many as you like!) Log in to your Hosterware account and from your customer account click Manage Web Hosting. This will open your Back Office create Mail Boxes there. Alternatively why not try Mozilla Thunderbird - this auto configuring fast email client is robust and requires none of the steps below.

1) Start Outlook and select the Tools menu


From the drop down menu that appears select Account Settings

2) On the E-mail tab please click the new button

3) Tick the box Manually configure server settings or additional server types & click next

4) Make sure Internet E-mail is highlighted & click next

5) Enter the following settings into the appropriate fields


User Information

Your Name: Enter your name as you wish it to be viewed in e-mails
E-mail Address: Enter the full e-mail address you are setting up

Server Information

Account type - POP3

Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.co.uk (change this for your domain)

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.co.uk (change this for your domain)

Login Information

Username: Re-type the full e-mail address in the username box

Password: Enter the password for your e-mail address as created in Back Office (access manage web hosting, then create mailboxes)

 

When you have finished entering these email settings, click on the More Settings button.

6) Finally click the outgoing server tab

Tick the box marked My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then choose the option saying Use same settings as my mail server. Next, click the OK button followed by Next and Finish to complete the setup. Please keep your mailbox size below 2GB by regularly deleting unwanted email, this app fails to open when the mailbox pst size grows larger than this. You can create unlimied mailboxes for free (400 MB each)
